Walking through the Ro’s Torv shopping center this location may come as a bit of a surprise for you. In this architectural space with its impressive ceiling height of over 8 meters we were assigned to modernise this 1990’s cinema lounge area and restructure the flow of customers in the confection shop. The space, being very square and bordering on empty, needed softening contrasts therefore we added an elegant custom made banquette with rounded shapes and a wooden backing with hessian style wallpaper topped with classic wall scounces. Dotted around are plush high back lounge chairs along with counter tables and chairs creating cosy corners. Inspired by old theatre references we installed towering layer curtains in soft hues that give a timeless backdrop to the art deco style chandeliers. The confection shop was also elevated with dark wooden cladding, deep green tiles, smoked mirrors and brass lighting. Even the most ruthless film critics can’t help but be beguiled by this cinematic experience..
